Chuck Berry (1926-2017) - First UK Tour 1964 - Bristol Colston Hall - a collection of ephemera and photographs from Berry's performance at the Colston Hall, 28th May 1964. Also on the bill were The Swinging Blue Jeans, Carl Perkins, The Animals and others. Includes: an original handbill, original programme, three newspaper clipping photographs, and three photographs taken by our vendor - two showing Berry on-stage at the concert and one taken earlier showing him signing autographs for a crowd of children. A fourth image appearing to be an official press image of Berry 'duckwalking' on the stage is also included. A vintage signed 8x10" colour photograph of Berry is also included, which was obtained by the vendor during the period (but not at The Colston Hall). The photograph is an official Chuck Berry Fan Club image with a printed signature, which has been later hand signed underneath by Berry in black ink. A unique collection, with a strong local connection.
