THE RONALD WOLFE COLLECTION – ON THE BUSES

The Ronald Wolfe Collection – On The Buses (1971 spin-off feature film) - a unique collection of memorabilia from Ronald Wolfe's collection, comprising: Wolfe's original '1st Rough Draft' typed script for the film, bound in card covers with 'On The Buses - Film Treatment' to the cover, in his hand. The 79pp document comes heavily annotated, with many rewritten lines and added notes. Whilst the script generally does follow the plot of the finished film there are some notable differences. Along with Wolfe's original notebook, which is part-filled with handwritten script ideas, jokes, plot points and general musings - some of which ended up in the final film, and others used for the other subsequent films. Also included are three sheets of lyrics for the movie's title song 'It's A Great Life On The Buses,' two featuring unused alternate lyrics and one sheet featuring the finished song, as recorded. Plus an invitation on Hammer Film Productions headed paper inviting Wolfe to a private party to celebrate the completion of five pictures in 1971'. All housed within a paper folder, noted in Wolfe's hand 'On The Buses - Film'. A unique and important archive of items relating to the feature film. Various sizes. (6)
