LATE 18TH CENTURY SINGLE FUSEE CLOCK BY J. P. DE BELLY LONDON
A late 18th century single fusee mantel clock. The mahogany clock case with steel engraved dial having Roman numeral chapter ring. The movement & face marked J. P. De Belly London; believed an Anglicised version of the French surname de Bailly or de Belle - a Mr. de Belly was recorded at Leicester Street, London in 1791. Raised on four gilt ball feet. In disrepair & in need of some restoration. Historic early 20th century lot label to glazed case.
Case measures approx. 45cm x 29cm x 16cm.
