COLLECTION OF SILVER JEWELLERY & WHITE METAL INCLUDING JORMA LAINE FINNISH BRACELET
A collection of silver and white metal jewellery including Jorma Laine Finnish silver bracelet. The lot of silver jewellery to include a hallmarked silver Finnish Modernist bracelet of hoop openwork design, designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus Ky. Hallmarked for Turku, Finland, 1969. Kultateollisuus Ky, one of oldest jewellery manufacturers in Finland, employed designer Jorma Laine, who trained at the art college Turun Piirustuskoulu (Turku Art School) and worked mainly in silver and bronze in an abstract style. A hallmarked silver Scandinavian Modernist ring, hallmarked with crown silver mark together with date letter A8 and maker's mark KM. Three hallmarked silver Ingot necklace pendants, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1977. Two silver christening bangles, marked silver to inner bangle. A silver square snake chain necklace, marked 925 to lobster claw clasp. A silver cross pendant necklace, marked silver. A hallmarked silver Finnish flower necklace pendant set with simulated pearls, hallmarked for Helsinki, 1950. A hallmarked silver Finnish filigree flower brooch pin, hallmarked for Helsinki, 1955 together with maker's mark UH. The lot to also include a pair of silver pendant earrings, necklace pendant, thimble, watch case, necklace AF and ring. All either hallmarked or marked silver. A white metal and mother of pearl necklace AF, unmarked surface tests do not indicate silver. Jorma Laine bracelet measures 20.8cm. Rings measure O.5-R.5. Necklaces measure 41cm - 49cm. Pendants measure 3cm x 0.4cm and largest 10.5cm x 2.7cm. Brooch pin measures 5.5cm x 4.5cm. Earrings measure 4cm x 1.3cm. The mixed lot of jewellery sold as found. All weights, measurements and sizes are approximate.
