Original diced morocco, heavily gilt borders, gilt lettering to front board, spine rubbed & worn, boards scuffed and marked, extremities bumped & rubbed resulting in loss, some paint damage to rear board, opening to reveal marbled backing on the twin folding maps laid on linen. Each map engraved & hand coloured. An uncommon Victorian map of the world, one of the first to show Texas as an independent Republic.
