Kunio Kaneko was born in Tokyo in 1949 and graduated from the esteemed Musashino University of Fine Arts. A student of two renowned masters in modern Japanese printmaking, Joichi Hoshi and the sosaku hanga artist Sasajima Kihei, Kaneko specializes in the traditional technique of Japanese woodblocks.
