Translated according to the Ebrew and Greake, and conferred with the best Translations in divers Languages. London: imprinted by the Deputies of Christopher Barker [c1636 Robert Barker imprint]. 20th century full tan morocco, gilt titles to spine, externally lovely with minor wear only; lacking original title page with 20th century facsimile bound in & renewed endpapers, typewritten note pasted to front pastedown & ownership inscription cut out and tipped in with sellotape. First orig. leaf being How to take profite in reading of the Holy Scripture (repaired to lower corner, Since Christ annotation in contemp. hand), overleaf the First Booke of Moses repaired along gutter, trimmed to upper edge in places affecting page titles, some occ. later notations eg p112-121. New Testament at back bound complete with title page, inscriptions verso, historic tape repair across entirety of p69, some edegwear to upper corner of final leaves, some other edgewear, repairs & losses to leaves, woodcut tailpiece to final leaf. Illustrated with woodcut maps and vignettes throughout. A smart example of a Breeches Geneva Bible in a lovely fresh binding. 4to. (1)
