ONLY FOOLS & HORSES - THE JOLLY BOYS' OUTING - PAUL BARBER'S SCRIPT
Only Fools & Horses (BBC Sitcom 1981-2003) - The Jolly Boys' Outing (1989 Christmas Special) - Paul Barber's (Denzil) original production used rehearsal script for the classic feature-length episode. A5, 243pp including cover, cast list, and running order pages. Named to the front in Barber's hand 'Paul B' noting the script as his, plus further signed with a dedication 'To Andy - Happy Reading! Regards, Paul Barber'. Some other notes in his hand to the front cover also feature. To the rear of the final four pages Barber has used the blank pages to pen some of his autobiography, in black ink. Otherwise, the script is unmarked within. Complete.
Provenance: gifted by Barber to our client, c1997.
The Jolly Boys' Outing special was a massive broadcast hit, drawing an estimated 20.1 million viewers on its original screening, cementing its status as one of the most-watched and most fondly remembered episodes in British television history.

The sale also features Part Two of the Ronald Wolfe collection, who co-wrote On The Buses, The Rag Trade and hundreds of other productions. Fans of the Carry On franchise will also find rare treasures as this sale includes the script collection of writer Sid Colin, who penned Carry On Spying, alongside Talbot Rothwell.
As usual we have some very special items relating to Only Fools & Horses, and one of our star lots is an original script used by actor Paul Barber (Denzil) for the moved-loved episode The Jolly Boy's Outing.
