A Qing dynasty blue and white porcelain lidded ginger jar. The ovoid shaped jar decorated with two open panels depicting two mythical beasts /qilins and a roundel symbol of 'Longevity' to the body. The lid decorated with a roundel symbol of 'Longevity' surrounded by two blue rings. Six character 'Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi' marked to the base.
