An early 20th century American hand painted wooden box of maritime interest. The box with hand painted vignette of a sloop ship with an American flag, titled Brown Sloop New Providence C.S.A., 20 Runs Charleston - Nassau. Depicted with a sailor & anchor leaning to left hand side. Front featuring painted compass. Opening to reveal central compartment & candle holder compartment.
Measures approx. 14.5cm x 26cm x 16cm.
