Signed by Cornwell to title page with 'Introducing Richard Sharpe!' dedication. Believed later replacement blue wraps with typewritten label to front cover, edgeworn with spine noticeably cocked & stains to wraps & corners, a few spots internally. A signed proof of the first novel in Cornwell's Sharpe series introducing the soldier hero Richard Sharpe, later immortalised as a BBC series starring Sean Bean in the 1990s. 8vo. (1)
